Goa is lush green in July -- during the Monsoon season. It was clean, safe, prosperous and beautiful. Full of friendly people too.

Most of the photos in this album were taken in South Goa, away from the hustle and bustle of the package tourists in the North. The fishing village of Benaulim is 9 km away from Margao, Goa's commercial center. Benaulim has one of best beaches in Goa -- don't believe those people who prefer the greasy beaches in North Goa ;) , and the village itself is dotted with rice fields and pretty Portugese style houses.    [ July 2005 ]
